You are looking at a one of a kind custom violin bass. This bass started off as a rogue, purchased from musician s friend three years ago, but it is a completely bass now. The frets have been stripped off, and it now is a fretless bass. Also, I got rid of the original pickups, and added two fantastic pick ups. the bridge pickup is a Gibson Thunderbird pickup, while the neck pickup is a 1963 Gibson humbucking pickup off of the original Gibson EB-1 Violin Bass. The combination of the two pickups delvers a uniquely warm and versatile sound. Also, the electronics allow for the pickups to be adjusted or turned off individually. its a really great sounding bass that you won t find anywhere else. This is a short scale bass, so the neck is only 22 1/2 neck. I ve spent a lot of money on making this bass what it is now, and it has been well cared for.
